Matching headers and ribbon cables
Header break-out modules connect dual-row headers with a 2.54 mm pitch to screw terminals. They provide a transition between a ribbon cable and existing fixed wiring. Choose modules for individual pin counts or combination modules with several connector sizes, with mounting on TS15, TS35 or G32 rails.

Match the total pin count and 2.54 mm pitch to your cable connector. Check the position of pin 1 and the pin assignment before wiring. Similar-looking ribbon cable connectors do not necessarily share the same pin assignment.
Choose an individual or combination module
Modules with individual pin counts from 6 to 24 are available for fixed connections. Combination modules offer several connector sizes, such as 6/8/10/14 or 26/30/34/40 pins. Check each product page for the connectors fitted and the module dimensions.
Plan the wiring and installation
Check wire cross-section, electrical ratings and installation space. Allow for the ribbon cable's bending radius and access to the screw terminals. The direct connection does not provide signal conditioning or interface conversion.
