Industrial Counters
Available in various designs, as event counters or time counters, these counters were developed at a time when modern ICs had not yet been invented, or were just being developed in the laboratories of Texas Instruments. The devices were built from discrete components, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors. A single counting decade had the size of a Eurocard. An eight-digit industrial counter sometimes required a 19-inch rack with 3HE. The 2HE design was already considered "modern".
At that time, the common display element was the Nixie tube. The devices became somewhat smaller with the later use of RTL components, while TTLs were yet to come. We still manufacture modern counters with LED or LCD displays, built with highly integrated ICs and SMD technology, upon request.
Control and Evaluation for Coin Counting Machines
Evaluation of sorted coins and display of the respective coin type amounts in hard currency sorting machines. The first models were equipped with electromechanical counters.
Time Counters and Scoreboards for Sports Facilities
Scoreboards for water polo competitions were developed and manufactured on behalf of customers. In addition, large-scale displays for sports facilities were realized. The largest scoreboard of this kind, with around 10,000 light bulbs, was used as a background display in many episodes of the "Hitparade" on ZDF.
Parking Garage Control
As a precursor to today's parking garage machines, controls for access control of long-term parkers were manufactured in larger quantities for a well-known supplier.
Cafeteria Billing
At a time when the PC had yet to be developed, the recording and storage of personal cafeteria data on magnetic tape was realized for a large publishing house. The subsequent evaluation was carried out in-house in the data center.
Controls for Wind Generators
Controls for the American market were developed and manufactured in larger quantities. The power classes of 65kW, 150kW, and 330kW were covered.
Controls for Rotary Presses
Control and regulation of tablet presses for the pharmaceutical industry. Logging and evaluation of production data for in-process control. These devices were manufactured and further developed for a well-known press manufacturer in larger quantities for many years.
Measurement Devices and Controls for Welding Technology
A number of devices were developed and manufactured on behalf of customers. These included, for example, synchronous controls for the operation of resistance welding machines, measuring devices for monitoring resistance and arc welding, combined with the corresponding data evaluation and logging for quality assurance.
